Branscombe, Rolande

1928-2026

Rolande (Rolly) Branscombe (Gagnon), 97, born in Eagle Lake, Me, and a longtime resident of Edmundston, NB, passed away peacefully in Moncton, NB, on January 9, 2026, surrounded by family. Her life was defined by devotion - to her home, to her community, and above all, to the people she cherished most.

She dedicated her years to raising and supporting her four children: Gregg Branscombe (Karen), Gary Branscombe (Donna), Donna McNeill (Dean), and Susan Connolly (Gerry). Nothing brought her more joy than watching her family grow, and she took immense pride in her five grandchildren - Jennifer (Jenny), Emma, Lauren, Jeffrey, and Andrew - and her two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Madelyne (Ben and Maddie). Her presence was a steady source of comfort, kindness, and quiet strength across generations.

Rolly shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Garnet, who predeceased her more than seven years ago. Their partnership remained a guiding light in her life, and those who knew her felt the lasting imprint of their love.

She was a force to be reckoned with - kind, strong, spirited, and unforgettable. And now, as her family imagines her reunited with Garnet, they take comfort in knowing she can dance with him and the angels every day. We will miss her intensely, holding close our memories of her laughter, her determination, and her unwavering love. We will remember her warmth, her resilience, and the gentle way she shaped the lives around her.

A celebration of her life will be held in Edmundston, NB, with further details to be shared at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Dementia (Alzheimer) charity.
