MacFarlane, Vivian Helen

1922-2026

It is with great sadness
that the family announce the passing
of Vivian Helen MacFarlane
at 705 Grass Nursing Home,
Riverview, NB,
on April 19, 2026,
at the age of 103 and 8 months.

She passed away peacefully, sharp as ever until the very end. Helen was the daughter of Samuel Randell Andrews and Muriel Watson of Newcastle Creek, NB. Wife of the late Rod MacFarlane of Minto, later, Edmundston. Helen was the last remaining of her 9 siblings: Edger, Maude, Eric (Irene), Ellis (Juanita), Joanne (Bob Gilles), Ronald (Genevieve), Barbara (Dwane Ward), Janet (Trevor Straker) and Malcom (Patricia). Helen and Rod were the proud parents of 5 children: David (Marthe), late Robert "Bob" (Rinette), late Carol, Rhonda (late David MacKenzie) and Lynn (Roger Jenkins).

Helen lived a full and spirited life on her own terms. Helen was a provincial golfer, a bowling champion, a talented curler and an accomplished bridge player. Helen was also a member of the Eastern Star. She will be missed by her extended family and many friends.

As per Helen's request, there will be no visitation. A private family internment will be held at the Saint John the Baptist Anglican Church in Edmundston, at a later date. The family wishes to acknowledge the loving and special care received from the staff while a resident at 705 Grass Home in Riverview, NB
